Upstate New York

The weekend after we visited New York City, we wanted to go to upstate New York! We timed the fall colors PERFECTLY! I was in awe the entire time. I probably said, "Wow Dallan! This is so pretty!" over 100 times. It was unreal and DID NOT disappoint! 

Our first stop was Palmyra, NY. Our church has a TON of history here so it has been on our bucket list for a long time. The spirit we felt was so amazing. It is my top 3 most spiritual experiences I've ever had. I still get chills thinking about it. 

Driving to the first church history site we came across this! I'm serious, the colors were SO vibrant and pretty!

Downtown Palmyra was so cute! There are 4 huge churches on each corner of some cross streets. It was insane. It was so cool seeing where The Book of Mormon was published too! It was such a long, tedious process.

After Palmyra, we drove to Niagara Falls to stay the night. We woke up bright and early to get tickets for the boat. When we got to the ticket booth a HUGE tour group of Asians were in line. One of the workers was hilarious and told us to wait an hour to get tickets because "they'll get on the boat then back on the plane to China!" HAHA that comment took us by surprise but we took his advice and waited. I'm so glad we did too because our boat wasn't nearly as crowded as the first couple boats! 

Horseshoe Falls. The whole middle you couldn't see because of the mist but it was so fun! We got soaked! Thank goodness for those ponchos they give you!

On the drive back to Virginia, I probably pulled over 10 times to take pictures of the colors! Gosh! it was so pretty. 

New York City // Part 3

I finally got the videos done!!! It feels amazing to have these done and I feel so free! HAHA!

The first video is a highlight reel of our weekend. It was one for the books and this may be my favorite video of our trips thus far =) I want to go back so bad! I'm hoping to go around Christmas time someday...

And this second video was actually DALLAN'S idea! And if anyone knows Dallan, they know that he HATES doing music videos and anything super cheesy so this was HUGE! He only lasted about 15 minutes but I'll take what I can get... and it's a start! Muahahaha! Anyways, the video is super cheesy but I think it's freaking hilarious! People kept looking at us (...me) like I was a lunatic! hahah! So funny.

CMA Awards 2014

I love award shows and would LOVE to attend one someday and dress all fancy like!

-Miranda Lambert I love you, but really? stay away from singing pop with a pop star at a COUNTRY AWARD SHOW! Gross. Even if you sound good... don't go Taylor Swift on me!

-I love Carrie and Brad hosting together! And EEK! That baby bump is tooooo cute! I wish she would show it off more though.

Brad Paisley talking to Meghan Trainor about how she just needs to change her lyrics to "All about that Bass (the fish..), bout that bass, no treble hooks" HAHAH Dallan and I laughed hard at that one and his "Oh hi, you're pretty" to his wife... love them~

Florida Georgia Line, Love your new song but hate your look... Especially you Tyler, I can't look at you without thinking that you look like Count Adhemar's assistant on "A Knights Tale" HAHAHA! I probably only realized that now because I just watched that movie this week.

Keith Urban is a great guitarist! He sounds pretty good live too.

Well, I'm really delaying going to bed but I really need to... I was up at 5 am for work this morning and have to be up early again tomorrow... boooooo.... the bad thing about the east coast is everything is on so late.... so I can only watch half because I have to wake up earlllly! yuck. and I'm out!
