2014 Year in Review

Good grief! Where in the hell did time go?!

This year has been a rollercoaster to say the least. It has been good and bad. I don't want people to think my life is rainbows and unicorns all the time... because it's definitely not! I just don't want to write about the bad right now.

Here is our recap of our year according to past blog posts!

*D and I finished off our trip to Vegas and went to Utah to see our Nephew's baby blessing.
*Here is January according to my I-phone!-

That One Time We Won.....

FRONT ROW SEATS TO THE PAUL MCCARTNEY CONCERT!!!!

Over the summer, D randomly checked Paul's website to see his concert tour dates. Paul had added another date to play a show in Greensboro, NC so we bought tickets! Row Z the last row. but we didn't care because it's freaking PAUL MCCARTNEY!

After a pretty exhausting, heavy weekend in Utah, we had one day to regroup and then drive to NC from VA. We got to Greensboro, checked into our hotel, and headed to the arena.
I couldn't believe the amount of "old" people! It was so fun and cool to see! There was even a lady with a walker that went! You go girl.
We waited in line to enter the arena and once we got in we decided to go to the restroom (because we knew neither of us would go because we didn't want to miss one second!) and decided to buy some merchandise because we still had about an hour to kill before the show start.

Thank goodness we bought merchandise because once we bought it we headed up to the balcony section and were kind of standing in an open area trying to figure out where to go to find our seats.

A lady dressed in all black and had some offical looking gear on (walkie talkie, badges, etc) came up to us and asked, "Hey! Are you guys huge Paul McCartney fans?"

I was kind of confused but I responded, "Well yeah..."

She said, "What seat are you guys sitting in?"

I showed her our tickets and said, "In the nosebleeds"

She then said, "Oh okay.... How about I give you guys better seats?"

Me: "Wait what..."

She fumbles through some envelopes: "How does front row sound?"

Me as she hands me the tickets: "are you serious?! Are these fake?"

Lady: "They're real! Paul is going to see you so go crazy! Head downstairs and the workers will show you to your seats."

Me: "Oh. My. Gosh. Are you serious this is not real!!! Can I give you a hug?! Oh my gosh."

So I give the lady a hug and look at Dallan and he is just in shock. Mouth wide open. I start to cry and keep saying, "This is not real!?!"

So we head down and sure enough, tickets are NOT fake. We get to our seats and are still in complete shock. I'm still in shock writing this. This was a dream come true.

In shock!!

Paul in the flesh! You guys, he sounds SO GOOD! I wish I could've brought my good camera....  but Iphone photos and video will have to do...
At one point in the concert there was another mini stage that raised and he was literally 5 feet from us! Cutest old man in the world! #mancrush....
I would see him again in a heart beat! BEST CONCERT EVER (and not because we had the best seats in the house). The length of the concert (3 hours... and Paul NEVER took a break. His band did, but he didn't! Amazing.), the audience participation, the stories. He even brought an older lady on stage because she had a sign that said, "Trick or Treat, please sign my feet" He brought her up stage and actually signed her foot! A week later we were looking up videos people took from the concert and an article came up and she got the autograph tattooed!! I would do that too!! HAHA!

This video I put together is more for myself and D then for you guys but feel free to watch if you want! These videos are from my Iphone and like a dummy I didn't hold the phone horizontal when I filmed him for most of the clips. I must've had too much adrenaline to think or something! Oh well, and also if you watch this... there is a 6 second blank spot between 4:00-5:00 for some reason. I don't know why but what ever! Enjoy!
