Merry Christmas!

This Christmas is my first Christmas without snow... It isn't quite the same. I'm one of those weird people who love the cold, especially for Christmas time. But I'm trying to embrace warm Las Vegas the best I can.

Merry Christmas everyone!

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!

December is my favorite month of the year! It's so crazy how FAST this year has gone. It seems like yesterday Dallan and I were in Utah for his last semester at BYU.

I have a lot of things to look forward to this month. I'm trying to soak every bit of December in Alaska before I head to Vegas for the remainder of the year!

My December Countdown:

9 Days until Vegas!
11 Days until I fly to Utah!
13 Days until my best friend gets married!
23 Days until Christmas Eve!
24 Days until my FIRST Christmas with my in-laws!
30 Days until New Years Eve!
AND
31 Days until my New Year's resolution starts!

My parent's small tree this year. They didn't want to put the big one up since Christmas will be smaller at their house this year.

HAPPY DECEMBER EVERYONE!

Thanksgiving!

I lied about not blogging today... In my defense I was planning on going to a movie tonight, but it fell through.. So here I am editing videos tonight!  =)

Today was pretty good! It was my first Thanksgiving being home in 3 years because it was to expensive to fly home for 4 days from Utah to Alaska. I woke up early to help make our portion of the meals, then watched the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade. I want to watch the parade someday! It's on my bucketlist!  My expectations for the big family gathering wasn't to high so I wasn't disappointed. Things change, it's the way of life. I knew it wouldn't be as energetic as I remember it being when I was younger and even in high school but it was still fun. I was shocked at the amount of people there were though! I always thought it would get smaller and smaller because people are off to college or just moving away but I would say there was a good 30-40 people there! The company and conversations I had were really nice. =)

Forced Sisterly love!

Annual Thanksgiving picture with the husband! Also, we like to dress comfy for Thanksgiving so we can fit more into our tummies =P

It is always a tradition to have a Fullmer Family Talent Show. Many were reluctant this year (including me..), but Grandma pushed it and it ended up being quite entertaining! When I was younger I used to always participate with some kind of dance or lip syncing number with my cousins. Now THOSE home videos are hilarious to watch... I'm so thankful for my immediate AND extended family. I'm so lucky I got to grow up close to them!

I forgot my video camera so only got clips from my iPhone. Some might kill me for posting this... So sorry in advance! hahah  Here are the highlights of the talent show! Enjoy my crazy family!

Month of Thanks Days 22-28

Day 22- today I'm thankful for my best friends Aliana and Josie! I miss these girls all the time especially when I'm away. I text them almost non stop and even though we don't get to hang out that often, I know our friendship won't waver =) I LOVE YOU LADIES!

Day 23- I'm thankful for my talents! See the reason why here!

Day 24- A car. It's those rare times when living with your parents, before heading to law school, and your car is in Vegas with the in-laws, that you get to drive a car for most of the day! =) But I am sure thankful to have those rare days... haha

Day 25- I'm thankful for my Grandpa and Grandma Fullmer! They are such a hoot. I'm grateful I have been able to grow up basically down the street from them! I love hearing all of their stories and jokes. They are one truly amazing couple. I just love them so much!

Day 26- I'm thankful for snow. I know most people seem to hate it, but I LOVE it! It makes everything so much prettier and I love wearing sweatshirts and sweat pants! So it's my perfect situation =)

Day 27- I'm thankful for the LDS church. The culture can drive me nuts, but I still love the church. It has taught me to have high morals and standards. Without the Church I would not be where I am today and I know for a fact I wouldn't be as happy as I am right now.

Day 28- Yes I already know that tomorrow I will be thankful for THANKSGIVING! Duh. I won't be blogging tomorrow so I'm posting it now.. I love the holidays and tomorrow is specifically special because I haven't been home in 3 Thanksgivings! So I'm really excited for tomorrow even though I know it won't be the exact same. It will still be a fun time!

Month of Thanks Days 14-21!

I'm playing catch up here! Also stay tuned for highlights of my Hawaii trip!! (video included) =)

Day 14- I'm thankful for my little sister! We literally know what each other is thinking and feeling! We may drive each other nuts almost everyday, but I love that girl!

Throwback to almost 4 years ago! Sugar Plum Fairy and Clara =)

Day 15- I'm thankful for priesthood blessings. I got an earful of water (no really... an earful!) in my ear today.. My right ear is always the victim of this ever since our family trip to Florida where I basically lived underwater the whole 2 weeks because it was so fetching hot! Well I hate that feeling, and anyone who loves not being able to hear out of one ear is a crazy person! I asked Dallan to give me a blessing that it would go away (because last time it lasted like 2 weeks!! YUCK), and I swear within an hour, ONE HOUR, the water was almost gone!!!! I'm so grateful to be able to get a blessing from him whenever I want! =)

Day 16- I'm thankful for just living! Today I am just loving my life! I have been so fortunate to have the opportunities to travel and be adventurous! I have the best family and friends.

Day 17- I'm thankful for children. No matter who the child, they always bring a smile to my face! I can seriously see myself with like 6 kids (maybe..) haha

Day 18- I'm thankful for nature. God's creations are WONDERFUL! I can't get enough of nature! It's so pretty and tranquil. I love being in a place to think and explore. What better place to do that then in nature!

I took this during one of our many hikes this past summer!

Day 19- I'm thankful for food. Most days I wake up a big grouch. Dallan calls me "Oscar" in the mornings (Oscar the Grouch) because a lot of the time I am hungry which causes me to be grouchy... sorry D! =) But once I get some food in my tummy, I'm happy as a clam!!

Day 20- I'm thankful for air transportation! Isn't it amazing how airplanes fly and how we can get from one place to another in like 6 hours! The flight from Honolulu to Anchorage was originally a 5.5 hour flight, well with the strong tail winds it was an HOUR early! Did it really only take 4.5 hours to get from Alaska to Hawaii?? WHAT?! It's crazy to think about and I am for sure thankful for it.. (but not thankful for the prices sometimes...)

Day 21- I'm thankful for coupons! Although I'm not an extreme coupon person, I always try and look for a good deal.. I mean who doesn't like to save some extra cash? Dallan and I ordered a present for a family member literally 30 minutes ago, and what was going to be a 71 dollar purchase ended up only around 45 dollars! YAY FOR SAVINGS!

I love these Willy Wonka Pinterest finds! They crack me up =)
As I always say, it is my husband's job to make money, It is my job to save it.

Month of Thanks Days 10-13!

Day 10:
I'm thankful for the opportunity I have to be in Hawaii! If tickets weren't dirt cheap this would have never happened! I'm so blessed. Stay tuned for Hawaii posts when I get back! But here's a preview of my view!

Day 11: I'm thankful for my skin! Yes it sounds weird but I am thankful for it! When I get pasty white (I try to embrace the paste..) and then go tanning, via the salon or beach side, I usually burn just a tad and then the next morning it'll be a nice tan! Then after that I don't burn and get super dark. Thank you Italian side! I know I don't get that from my Irish heritage. ;)

Day 12: I'm thankful for my dad. He is my best friend and is such a go with the flow kind of person! He is such a goofball (must be where I get it from) and can make me laugh so much! I love that man!

Day 13: I'm thankful for sleep!! I haven't been able to sleep as well here in Hawaii, so I'm getting pretty sleep deprived.. It's true when they say nothing is more comfortable then your own bed!
I love these Ecards... So here ya go!

11.09.2013

Month of Thanks Day 7, 8, & 9!

Day 7: I'm thankful for country music! And when I say country music, I mean REAL country music.. Like George Strait and Alan Jackson kind of stuff. I like southern rock too. I'm NOT a fan of "pop country" *cough* Taylor Swift.... BLEH! Anyways... Country music has a lot of conservative views and has a simplicity kind of lifestyle which is what I love! Did anyone watch the CMA's this week?? Weren't Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood HILARIOUS hosting!? I love them! If you haven't had a chance to watch this glorious video, watch it!!! It was making me bust out laughing the whole time!

Day 8: I'm thankful for crafts!! I love crafting! Even if I don't have that much time or money to do them, I love it! It helps my creativity flow and my mind needs it! Seriously they make me so happy! I'm thankful I got my Mom's crafty genes! I specifically love wedding crafts. My best friend is getting married and you can bet I've been all in for helping with DIY wedding decor and bouquets! I think my calling in life is to be a wedding planner/decorator! Check it out:

Iced Branches (The glue is still drying, it dries clear!)

Bouquets!

Ribbon Roses! SO fun and very pretty!

Day 9: I'm thankful for my Mom! She is such a hard working person. She taught me how to set goals and to never bail on anything you commit to. She also taught me to craft like mentioned above! We both have the same style (for the most part) so decorating things isn't to much of a headache with her =) Love you mom!

Month of Thanks: Day 4, 5 & 6!

Day 4: I'm thankful for electricity! With the recent power outage we had, it was amazing how much electricity and power we use every day. It was nice not sitting on my bum watching TV all night though. I'm going to start limiting my screen time for one of my New Years Resolution!

Our reaction when the power goes out...

Day 5: I'm thankful for my camera. Although I get frustrated with it, (partly because I'm still learning how to use it) I'm thankful I have one! I'm thankful I can better document my life and the nature around me.

Day 6: I'm thankful for my dogs Bri and Hershey! No one is happier to see me EVERY time I come home more then they are! Even if I'm gone for 5 minutes!

11.03.2013

Month of Thanks Day 2 & 3

Day 2: I'm thankful for my brother Dylan. We are only 13 months apart so we grew up doing everything together. Most of my first memories I have are with him. I'm so thankful for the times we have spent together. I'm thankful that he is serving the Lord in London, England. I'm thankful for the example he is to me. I can't wait until he is home again! Only 9ish more months!!!

Day 3: I'm thankful for the Sanctity of Marriage.
This article has been circulating on my Facebook account all morning. So I opened and read it and WOW! It is a great article. This article is for everyone to read: Married, almost married, or even single.
I'm thankful that the Lord instated marriage upon this Earth.
I'm thankful for a mostly unselfish marriage (Let's be honest, everyone is selfish sometimes!).

The month of THANKS!

It's that time of year again! The time of year where we can reflect on the things in our lives we are thankful for! I will be posting at least one thing I am thankful for for each day of the month! If you want to join me, please do. If you don't have a blog, then just write it down somewhere and reflect on the things that are important in your life.

The 1st thing I am thankful for is my husband Dallan.

Without this guy walking into my life, I wouldn't be where I am today. I know for a fact I would be on a path that I wouldn't like to be on.. It's cliche, but he saved me spiritually. He helped me understand the doctrines of our church better then anyone has ever done before. Dallan is so patient with me and understands me like no one else. He loves me even when I'm crazy, dorky, and wild! I'm so thankful to have him FOREVER!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloween this year was a lot of fun! I dressed up in two different costumes because last year was kind of a drag!

The first costume was for our ward's Halloween Carnival! Dallan didn't participate with this one but he was a trooper with handling my dorky-ness. This costume was a lot of fun. My dad has some teeth he hadn't opened yet that he let me used and I'm glad he did because it made the whole costume!!

I laugh every time I look at this picture!

My sister was a cowgirl =)

My cousin JaCoy was an old lady! She even had a walker!!! HILARIOUS!

I'm glad Dallan loves me and my dorky self!

My second costume I wore for Trunk-or-Treat! I'm a huge fan of "The Vampire Diaries" and my favorite characters are Katherine and Damon! So Dallan and I went as them and my little sister went as Katherine's doppelganger Elena since we look a lot alike (I know... TV addict/nerd alert). Our teeth didn't quite stay in but the make-up was awesome!

My dad has A LOT of fun with his funky teeth!

I was a little into the Vampire thing...

Katherine and Elena take one... ahhaha

Take two! Much better!

I'm so glad Dallan is a trooper when it comes to my holiday spirit! Love that man!

My mom was a Witch!! She looked AWESOME!

One of my youngest cousins was Sully! He looked so cute

Sully and his twin puppy sisters! I love them to death!

Now it's time to eat some candy and watch Hocus Pocus!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

My FAVORITE Halloween Movies!

Since Halloween is just around the corner... I have been watching A LOT of my favorite Halloween movies. And by Halloween movies, I'm talking MOSTLY family friendly kinds. I don't like horror films like the actual "Halloween" movies or movies like "Scream" and "The Ring"... NO THANK YOU! The 90's girl in me can't resist the cheesy, but oh-so-awesome Disney Channel Original Halloween movies!

Here are some of my favorites:

"Hocus Pocus"- This movie is a MUST watch every year! It's not Halloween if you don't watch it at least once!

"Under Wraps"- Who doesn't love a movie about a love sick mummy?!

"Halloweentown" AND "Halloweentown 2: Kalabar's Revenge" - A city JUST for Halloween creatures and goblins! AWESOME.

"Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire" - Vampires... enough said! (I have a HUGE obsession with them...)

"Twitches"- Tia and Tamera Mowry... c'mon! Who DIDN'T love "Sister, Sister"

"Casper"- A classic friendly ghost story of course!

"The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad"- Specifically the Sleepy Hollow with Ichabod (I'm not a Mr. Toad fan..)

"Ghost Busters"- Who doesn't love to bust out dancing to the theme song?!

"The Haunted Mansion"- Eddie Murphy cracks me up in this one!

"The Little Vampire"- Again, Vampires!

And if you want to watch a semi-scary movie but don't like to get too freaked out like me. I would recommend Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho". BUT make sure it is the ORIGINAL one, not the new version! I'm sure the newest version is COMPLETELY scary!

And for Dallan's sake... I usually watch Van Helsing with him... It's not my favorite though..
